government forces, so let's get started.
"Syria
The Syrian transitional government
has signed an agreement with the
Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic
Forces (SDF) to integrate them into
the country's new armed forces.
The deal aims to unify Syria's territory
and reject division and may help to
placate Turkey, which has threatened
military action against the SDF.
The SDF, which was formed in
2015 and is backed by the United
States, had been resistant to
integration, but the agreement could
bring stability to the region."
"Syria
Syria's new leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa,
has vowed to punish those responsible
for the recent violence in the country,
which resulted in the deaths of
about 1,000 people, mostly civilians
from the minority Alawite community.
The violence escalated into clashes
between Sharaa's forces and gunmen
loyal to ousted leader Bashar al-Assad.
In a televised speech, Sharaa accused
Assad's loyalists and foreign powers
of trying to spark unrest in Syria."
"Afghanistan
On Monday, a temporary ceasefire
between the Taliban and Pakistani
border guards took effect at the Torkham

reopening of the crossing if the
issue is resolved by Tuesday."

has asserted that only the people
of Taiwan can decide their future."
"Colombia
