On Monday, we collected 78 events,
including Russia interfering

in Romania's presidential
election, so let's get started.

A Russian hacker group, DDOSIA/NoName057,
launched a distributed denial of service

(DDoS) attack on several Romanian
government and presidential candidates'

websites on the day of the first round
of a presidential election re-do.

The targeted websites include the
Romanian Constitutional Court, the

main government portal, the foreign
ministry site, and four presidential

candidates' websites, including those
of Crin Antonescu and Nicușor Dan.

The attack comes amidst concerns of
potential Russian influence in the

election, following the cancellation
of the initial round last year due to

allegations of illegal campaigning."

In the first round of Romania's
presidential election rerun, far-right

candidate George Simion is taking
a comfortable lead with 40.5%

of the vote, according
to near-final results.

He will face off against pro-EU
candidate Nicusor Dan in the
