Israeli airstrike targets the Beirut area

Friday, we collected 67 events, including
an Israeli airstrike on a Hezbollah target

in the Beirut area, so let's get started.

"Lebanon

An Israeli airstrike has hit a
building in Beirut's southern suburbs,

according to Lebanese media outlets.

The IDF had issued an evacuation
warning for the area earlier.

There are no immediate reports
of casualties, and the IDF has

not commented on the strike.

This marks the first time Beirut has
been targeted since the ceasefire

agreement between Israel and Hezbollah
took effect in November 2024."

"Lebanon

After a rocket was fired from Lebanon on
Kiryat Shmona, the Israeli Defense Forces

(IDF) are conducting a series of strikes
on Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon.

The IDF has announced that they
will provide further details later."

"Myanmar

Fighting between junta forces and
insurgents in the Mingun Hills,

Sagaing Township, has forced over 1,000
Buddhist monks and nuns to flee their

monasteries and convents since mid-March.

More than 400 monks and 600 nuns
from at least 40 convents and local

civilians have been displaced."

"North Korea

According to the South Korean
military, on Thursday, a landmine

explosion along the eastern part of
the inter-Korean border caused multiple

North Korean military casualties.

The incident took place after
the DPRK restarted work to

reinforce border defenses."

"North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was
pictured inspecting new AI-equipped

""suicide drones,"" which are
believed to have been developed

with the assistance of Russia.

The date of the inspection was unknown."

"Russia

Anna Prokofyeva, a military reporter
for Channel One, has been killed by a

landmine in Russia's Belgorod Oblast.

She was identified as a military
reporter and had been working

for Channel One since 2023.

Her cameraman, Dmitry Volkov,
was injured in the incident."

"Russia

Engels, a city in Russia's Saratov
region, was targeted by drones, according

to Andrii Kovalenko, head of Ukraine's
National Security and Defense Council's

Center for Countering Disinformation.

The attack is believed to be in
response to Russia's stockpiling

of missiles and ammunition for
potential attacks on Ukraine."

"Russia

Russian forces have attacked the
Sudzha gas metering station in Russia's

Kursk region for the second time.

The Ukrainian Center for Countering
Disinformation has reported this incident,

disputing Russia's claims that Ukraine
was responsible for shelling the station.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed
Forces has also denied these allegations."

"Somalia

On Tuesday, U.S.

Africa Command (AFRICOM) conducted
airstrikes against ISIS-Somalia

targets in the Golis Mountains in
northern Somalia in partnership with

the Federal Government of Somalia.

AFRICOM assessed multiple operatives
were killed in the airstrikes."

"Syria

In the northern countryside of Homs, 10
people were arrested by general security

forces during a security campaign.

The arrested individuals had previously
worked for the Iranian-backed

Rabid Interference Brigade
under Bashar Al-Assad's rule."

"Syria

Russian forces have shot down two
unknown drones in separate incidents.

In Tartus, a drone was shot down
over the city, with its wreckage

falling on the road to Jaditi village.

A similar explosion was heard in
the Latakia countryside, believed to

be caused by the shooting down of a
drone flying over the Hmeimim base."

"Syria

The SDF, with international coalition
support, conducted a security operation in

the village of Al-Tuwaimin, targeting ISIS
member Zahir Al-Kaidi Al-Fian (Abu Ghazi).

They successfully captured Abu
Ghazi, who was involved in smuggling

terrorists out of the al-Hol camp.

The operation resulted in the seizure of
several weapons and military equipment,

reaffirming the SDF's commitment to
dismantling remaining ISIS cells and

ensuring regional security and stability."

"Taiwan

Taiwan tracked 30 Chinese
military aircraft, eight naval

vessels, and one official ship
around its country between 6 a.m.

Thursday and 6 a.m.

Friday.

Twenty aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait
median line and entered Taiwan’s northern,

central, eastern, and southwestern Air
Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ).

One fighter jet was detected north of
the ADIZ, 14 fighters and drones entered

the central ADIZ, five fighters were
detected in the southwest ADIZ, and one

drone flew completely around Taiwan."

"Ukraine

A fire broke out at an infrastructure
facility in the Zaporizhzhia region

following a Russian drone strike.

The attack resulted in a fire at
the facility and nearby summer

houses, but there have been no
reported casualties so far."

"Ukraine

In the village of Novoraisk, Kherson
region, Russian artillery strikes damaged

buildings and injured a local resident.

The strikes, launched by MLRS, caused
damage to residential buildings,

utility structures, and civilian
vehicles, resulting in fires that

firefighters quickly extinguished."

"Ukraine

Multiple attacks occurred in the Kharkiv
region over the past day, resulting in

three injuries and damage to property.

A car fire was reported, a cultural
center was destroyed, and a police

car was damaged in Borova village.

In Zolochiv village, a private
house was destroyed, and multiple

houses were partially damaged.

Additionally, a house was set
on fire in Buhaivka village, and

a private house and garage were
damaged in Blahodativka village.

Russian forces also attempted to
break through defense lines six

times in the Kharkiv sector."

"Ukraine

On Thursday, March 27, Russia launched
a drone attack on Ukraine with 163

Shahed-type attack UAVs and imitation
drones from various directions.

The Ukrainian Air Force and Defense
Forces successfully repelled the

attack, downing 89 Russian drones
and losing 51 Russian imitator

drones without negative consequences.

The attack resulted in consequences in
multiple regions, including Poltava,

where an industrial area was hit and power
was cut off in some parts of the city."

"Ukraine

Russian forces attacked
emergency vehicles in Novoraysk,

Kherson region, with a drone.

The attack damaged an ambulance
and firefighters' transport, but

fortunately, there were no casualties.

This incident is part of a larger
trend of increased kamikaze

drone strikes in the area."

"Ukraine

Russian forces have shelled the town
of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region

using multiple launch rocket systems
(MLRS) and a Molniya-type strike drone.

A 38-year-old resident was wounded in
the MLRS strike, while a residential

building was damaged, leaving a
58-year-old woman and a 57-year-old

man with acute stress reactions."

"Ukraine

Russian strikes in the Kherson region
resulted in the deaths of three

people and injuries to 12 others.

Russian fire and airstrikes
targeted multiple locations,

including cities and villages.

Five apartment buildings, nine private
houses, and various other structures

were damaged in the attacks."

"Ukraine

Ukrainian forces claimed to have
killed or wounded 1,860 Russian

soldiers over the past day.

Over 500 pieces of military equipment
were destroyed in the fighting."

"West Bank

Security forces conducted an
overnight operation in Jenin,

resulting in the arrest of 8 wanted
suspects and the confiscation of

various firearms and explosives.

The operation was carried out by the
IDF, police, and Border Police, with

the assistance of the Shin Bet."

"Yemen

The United States has carried out
over 44 airstrikes on Houthi targets

across six provinces in a single night.

The targets included Houthi-linked
positions, such as air defense systems,

command centers, and facilities
used to coordinate maritime attacks.

The goal of the operation is to degrade
the Houthis' offensive capabilities and

neutralize key military infrastructure."

"India

A protest rally organized by DYFI
(Democratic Youth Federation of

India) on Anti-Unemployment Day
turned violent in Siliguri, resulting

in police firing tear gas shells
and detaining several DYFI leaders.

The confrontation occurred when
police blocked the rally's path,

leading to a confrontation between
protesters and law enforcement."

"Iran

Iranians have taken to the streets of
Tehran to participate in the annual

Quds Day protest, called by Supreme
Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to show

support for Palestinians and protest
against ""the enemies' tricks.""

The rally, which also saw Iranian
President Masoud Pezeshkian and

Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani in
attendance, featured crowds waving flags

and chanting slogans, including ""Death
to America"" and ""Death to Israel."""

"Israel

Thousands of Israelis protested in
Tel Aviv's Habima Square, calling for

the release of hostages held in the
Gaza Strip and against the government.

The protest turned violent when
police clashed with demonstrators,

resulting in seven arrests.

Former IDF general Noam Tibon and
former police chief Roni Alsheich spoke

out against the government, accusing
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of

acting against the national interest.

The protest coincided with the
government's passage of key

judicial overhaul legislation and
ongoing hostage negotiations."

"Nepal

On Friday, a protest calling for
the restoration of the Hindu kingdom

in Nepal turned violent in Tinkune,
resulting in injuries to both

security personnel and protesters.

The situation escalated when pro-monarchy
protesters attempted to breach the

security cordon, prompting a response
from police that included firing tear gas.

Protesters vandalized a building
and set it on fire, as well

as smashing building windows."

"Nepal

On Friday, protests in Nepal demanding
the restoration of constitutional

monarchy turned violent in Kathmandu,
resulting in at least two deaths and 17

injuries, including three police officers.

Riot police used tear gas, water cannons,
and rattan sticks to break up the rally.

Police also arrested three protesters."

"Nigeria

On Thursday, the Islamic Movement of
Nigeria called for demonstrations in

Abuja and other major cities on Friday.

Possible disruptions include heavy
traffic, roadblocks, checkpoints,

and physical confrontations.

The U.S.

Embassy in Abuja and Consulate
General in Lagos have provided contact

information and advice for U.S.

citizens to monitor the situation."

"Australia

On Friday, a plane crashed during
an aerial display at the Avalon

Australian International Airshow
at the Avalon Airport in Greater

Geelong, Victoria, leaving the pilot
in critical condition with serious

upper and lower body injuries.

The incident occurred when the plane,
performing an aerobatic maneuver,

hit the ground while making a
loop around towards the tarmac."

"India

On Thursday, three empty goods wagons of
a Southern Railway derailed near Chennai.

There were no casualties in the accident."

"Pakistan

On Friday, two passenger buses
crashed head-on in Balochistan's

Kalat district, killing six
passengers and injuring 20 others."

"Syria

A civilian was injured in the
eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor

after an unexploded object in
the Al-Mujawadah desert exploded,

causing shrapnel to hit them."

"Syria

Two children were injured in an
explosion that occurred in Al-Deir

Al-Gharbi town in Idlib countryside.

The blast, which is believed to
have been caused by an old landmine,

resulted in the children being taken
to the hospital for treatment."

"United States

A small aircraft crashed in
the Kunia Neighborhood Park.

Two men, aged 22 and 38, were on board.

The 22-year-old was taken to the hospital
in serious condition with a bruise on

his head, while the 38-year-old declined
medical attention for a minor arm injury.

The incident is currently under
investigation by the Honolulu

Police Department, with Anonui St.

in Waipahu closed off."

"United States

Thursday afternoon, a small plane landed
upside down in a field down in Holiday.

The pilot reported an engine
issue before the crash.

The pilot was uninjured."

"India

On Wednesday, Baramulla Police
forces and CRPF members conducted

an operation on a militant hideout
in the Namblan forest area.

During the operation, security forces
recovered two Chinese hand grenades,

104 AK-47 rounds, two AK-47 magazines
(one damaged), six pieces of RDX, one

detonator set with wire, one pouch,
two pithoo bags, one pressure IED."

"Israel

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF)
and police have foiled an attempt

to smuggle nine assault rifles into
Israel from Egypt using a drone.

The drone was identified and
downed by troops before it

could deliver the contraband."

"Lebanon

The Lebanese army has discovered
a rocket launcher used in the

attack on Kiryat Shmona, which
occurred earlier in the morning.

The launcher was found in the
Qaaqaait al-Jisr area near

Nabatieh, and an investigation is
underway to determine which group

was responsible for the attack.

Two projectiles were fired
during the incident."

"Somalia

On Friday, Puntland security forces
discovered a cache of weapons, food

supplies, and ISIS militant bodies at
a strategic base targeted by a U.S.

airstrike in the Golis
Mountain region on Tuesday."

"India

On Friday, a Naxal/Maoist rebel
IED blast injured a soldier during

an operation near the village of
Bedmakoti, Narayanpur district."

"India

On Friday, security forces in
Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district recovered

and defused a 45 kg improvised explosive
device (IED) planted by Naxalites/Maoists

beneath the Cherpal-Palnar road.

The IED, which was powerful enough
to blow up a mini truck, was detected

by a CRPF team and neutralized
by the Bomb Disposal Squad."

"India

On Friday, Security forces recovered
and defused an IED at the Shrine

Board Washroom in the Ramsoo
area of the Ramban district."

"India

On Thursday, police arrested two
suspected Kangleipak Communist Party

(KCP-Taibanganba) rebels during an
operation in the Langthbal Khunou

area of the Thoubal district."

"India

On Thursday, police clashed with
Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists in

the Sufain area of the Kathua district,
resulting in the death of three

terrorists and three police officers.

Furthermore, seven other police members,
including a deputy superintendent,

were injured in the fighting.

Police halted the operation and planned
to resume it at dawn on Friday."

"India

On Tuesday, police arrested two People’s
Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak

(PREPAK) (Pro) militants and an active
member of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL)

during an operation in Imphal East.

Police also arrested a Koireng-led
United National Liberation Front (UNLF-K)

rebels in the Tengnoupal district."

"India

On Wednesday night, police arrested
two People’s Liberation Army (PLA)

during an operation in Imphal West."

"India

Police arrested a Kangleipak
Communist Party-Politburo Standing

Committee (KCP-PSC) militant during
an operation in the Sawombung Pourabi

area of the Imphal East District."

"India

Security forces arrested a Kangleipak
Communist Party (PWG) militant during

an operation in the Bishnupur district."

"India

Security forces neutralized all
five terrorists affiliated with the

Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM)
outfit in a fierce encounter in a dense

forest in the Kathua district on Friday."

"Israel

Two rockets were fired at northern Israel
from Lebanon, with one intercepted and

the other landing in Lebanese territory.

This is the second attack from
Lebanon in the past week."

"Netherlands

A knife-wielding assailant
attacked five people on a busy

shopping street in Amsterdam.

The attack occurred around 3:30 p.m.

local time and lasted several minutes
before a passerby stopped the assailant.

The victims were transported to the
hospital for treatment, and the suspect

injured his leg during the confrontation.

The motive behind the attack remains
unknown, with police considering the

possibility of random targeting."

"Nigeria

On Thursday, gunmen suspected to be
bandits abducted six members of the

Ayetoro-Kiri community of Kaba-Bunu
Local Government Area (LGA), Kogi

state, including a timber contractor,
a security guard, and a young girl.

The incident occurred when the
gunmen, riding on motorcycles, invaded

the community, attacking a phone
shop and shooting sporadically."

"Pakistan

A bomb attack occurred in Tang Khata
area of Khar tehsil in Bajaur tribal

district on Thursday, targeting the
official vehicle of Khar SHO Rashid Ahmad.

The bomb, planted along the Tang
Khata Bridge, exploded near the

vehicle, but fortunately, the police
personnel on board remained unhurt.

The vehicle was badly damaged, and
a team of policemen has launched

a search for the culprits, with an
investigation into the incident underway."

"Pakistan

On Friday, a hand grenade attack
targeted a police camp near the

Qaidabad area of Karachi, injuring
three police officers and one civilian.

An investigation of the
attack was underway."

"Syria

A young man was fatally shot, and a worker
was seriously injured in a shooting at a

real-estate office in Al-Zabadani city.

Unidentified gunmen stormed the
office, targeting the young man who

was accused of being an informant
for the former regime but mistakenly

also injured an innocent worker."

"Syria

ISIS members attacked several shops in
Hawayij town, Deir Ezzor, sparking an

exchange of fire with the shopkeepers.

Fortunately, no casualties have been
reported as a result of the incident."

"Syria

Two individuals who previously
volunteered in the Jaysh Al-Ashayer

military formation were killed in a
fight in Al-Mayadeen City, Deir Ezzor.

One of the men, identified as Abu
Oqab, was wearing an explosive

belt that detonated during the
fight, resulting in his death.

Abu Oqab had a complex background,
serving in the Syrian army and

military intelligence before allegedly
faking his own death and joining

the Syrian Democratic Forces for
the benefit of the former regime."

"West Bank

Israeli authorities have arrested
a 35-year-old Palestinian man

in Tulkarem who opened fire on
an IDF vehicle in November 2023.

He has confessed to the attack
and faces charges of possessing

a weapon and intent to murder."

"West Bank

The Israeli military (IDF) has arrested
22 Palestinians in the West Bank

village of Jinba following a violent
confrontation with Israeli settlers.

However, footage shows settlers
attacking residents and property

before the IDF's arrival.

Three Palestinians, including a
15-year-old, were injured in the assault.

Despite the evidence, the IDF
has not arrested any Israelis

involved in the incident."

"Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF)
have issued an evacuation warning for

a building and surrounding area in
Beirut's southern suburbs ahead of an

airstrike against a Hezbollah asset.

The warning, which comes after two rockets
were fired from Lebanon at Kiryat Shmona,

advises civilians to evacuate at least
300 meters from the building for safety.

This marks the first time the
IDF has issued such a warning

in Beirut since November 27."

"Lebanon

The United States has issued new
sanctions targeting Hezbollah's

finance team, aimed at disrupting
the group's revenue generation.

The sanctions specifically target five
individuals and three entities, including

family members and close associates
of prominent Hezbollah officials."

"Myanmar

A 7.7-magnitude

earthquake has struck Myanmar,
causing widespread destruction

and killing at least 144 people.

The death toll is expected to rise,
according to the country's junta

chief, Min Aung Hlaing, who has
appealed for international aid.

The quake also affected
nearby Thailand, where several

casualties have been reported."

"Philippines

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth
announced plans to enhance the military

alliance with the Philippines, aiming to
""reestablish deterrence"" against China's

aggression in the Indo-Pacific region.

The efforts include deploying additional
advanced military capabilities, enhancing

interoperability, and prioritizing
defense-industrial cooperation.

Hegseth's visit to the Philippines is
seen as a key opportunity for the US to

demonstrate its commitment to its allies
in the region amidst growing tensions

with China over the South China Sea."

"Syria

Lebanon and Syria have signed an
agreement to demarcate their border and

boost security coordination following
clashes earlier this month and the ouster

of the Assad family's rule in Syria.

The deal, signed in Saudi Arabia,
aims to ease tensions and establish

committees to address security
challenges along the border.

Saudi Arabia supports the agreement, which
is expected to enhance regional security."

"Turkey

Istanbul's jailed mayor, Ekrem
Imamoglu, has demanded the immediate

release of his lawyer, Mehmet
Pehlivan, who was detained on what

Imamoglu calls ""fictitious grounds.""

Imamoglu claims that the detention is
an attempt to silence him and other

""victims"" defending democracy."

"Gaza Strip

The Israeli Air Force has carried out
over 25 airstrikes in the Gaza Strip,

targeting Hamas and other terror groups.

In addition, 15 Hezbollah targets
were hit in Lebanon, including

a drone storage site in Beirut."
