On Wednesday, we collected 72
events, including India conducting

airstrikes on terrorist targets
in Pakistan, so let's get started.

On May 7, 2025, India launched Operation
Sindoor, conducting precision strikes

on nine terror camps affiliated
with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Pakistan and
Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POK).

The targeted sites included key
operational headquarters such as Markaz

Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur (linked to JeM)
and Markaz Taiba in Muridke (associated

with LeT), as well as other facilities in
Sialkot, Bhimber, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad.

The strikes were carried out
at 1:44 am, with Prime Minister

Narendra Modi reportedly
monitoring the operation closely.

This action marks a significant
escalation in India's counter-terrorism

efforts against groups operating
from across the border.

" Indian forces conducted a series of
precision strikes, codenamed Operation

Sindoor, targeting terror camps in
Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The strikes resulted in significant
casualties, including 10 members of

Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood
Azhar's family, 4 of his aides, and around

30 terrorists in Bahawalpur and Muridke.

The operation, which lasted for 25
minutes, is believed to have neutralized

between 70 and 80 terrorists in total,
in response to the Pahalgam carnage,

where Pakistan-backed terrorists
killed 26 people, mostly tourists."

A recent shelling by the Pakistani
Army in the border areas of

Jammu and Kashmir has resulted in
significant casualties and damage.

At least 12 civilians, including
four children, were killed and

57 others were injured, with
several in critical condition.

The Indian Armed Forces responded
with strikes against terrorist

infrastructure, inflicting significant
casualties on the Pakistani side.

The incident occurred on the 13th
consecutive night of unprovoked

cross-border firing in Jammu and
Kashmir, amid escalating tensions

following the Pahalgam terror attack."

The conflict between India and Pakistan
has resulted in civilian casualties,

with 26 reported killed by Indian
strikes and shelling, and at least eight

killed by Pakistani shelling, marking
the most serious fighting in decades

between the two nuclear-armed rivals."

"Nigeria

The Nigerian Army's Operation Hadin
Kai has disrupted a large-scale

fuel supply operation to Boko
Haram terrorists in Borno State.

Troops busted a fuel station, arresting
several suspects who confessed to

delivering fuel to terrorist-controlled
areas in Pulka and the Cameroon axis.

The suspects claimed to be unaware
of the identities of their clients,

suggesting a complex network of black
marketers supplying fuel to insurgents."

"Philippines

On Sunday, May 4, Security forces
recovered a New People’s Army (NPA) arms

cache during an operation in he village
of Sigacad, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

The cache included 10 rifle grenades
and 11 ammunition for a caliber

40-millimeter grenade launcher."

"Ghana

Ghana police arrested four individuals,
including three crew members involved

in a pirate attack on a fishing vessel,
roughly 16 nautical miles off the

coast of Accra, which resulted in the
abduction of three Chinese nationals

on March 27, While some crew members
concealed themselves, the pirates captured

the captain, chief mate, and chief
engineer after disabling communications

and confiscating mobile phones.

The victims were transported to the
Niger Delta, held in a secluded camp,

and ultimately released on April 25."

"Iraq

On Wednesday, Iraqi security forces
seized a cache of weapons from

a Shiite religious site in the
al-Ur district of eastern Baghdad.

The confiscated items include 17 hand
grenades and 70 rounds of ammunition

for a medium BKC machine gun.

The authorities also arrested two
suspects in connection with the seizure.

"Israel

The IDF has identified a ballistic
missile launched from Yemen, but it

fell outside of Israeli territory.

No sirens were sounded, and it

The Israeli Air Force intercepted an
unmanned drone launched from Yemen

before it could enter Israeli airspace.

The drone was detected heading
towards Israel from the east,

but no sirens sounded in Israel."

"Mali

On Sunday, May 4, gunmen attacked a
convoy transporting heavy mining equipment

from the Malian capital, Bamako, to
Allied Gold's Sadiola mine, which

came under attack in the Kayes region.

During the attack between the towns
of Diema and Sandare in the Kayes

region, the assailants set fire to two
large trucks, damaged an excavator,

and stole two pick-up trucks.

No groups have claimed
responsibility for the attack.

The attack was disrupted by Malian
troops who had been nearby."

"Mozambique

Last Saturday, May 3, an Islamic
State terrorist ambush in Mozambique

resulted in the deaths of three
Rwandan soldiers and injured six

others in Cabo Delgado province."

"Niger

On Sunday, May 3, suspected jihadist
terrorists attacked Nigerien forces

near Dogon Kiria, Dosso Region, killing
ten soldiers and wounding seven others.

Troops killed several
terrorists and arrested several

others during the attack."

"Niger

Overnight Sunday, Boko Haram
terrorists attacked two police posts

in the city of Diffa, according
to the governor of the region.

The governor did not indicate if
there were casualties in the attack."

"Nigeria

A recent attack in Barkin, Plateau
state, has resulted in the deaths

of six people and several injuries.

The attack occurred in a region
with rising religious tensions

between Nigeria's Muslim
north and Christian south.

Authorities have not disclosed
the identity of the attackers,

but the area has seen frequent
inter-communal violence in the past."

Early Wednesday morning, suspected
Boko Haram terrorists attacked the Izge

community of Gwoza Local Government
Area of Borno State, killing a

Nigerian Army captain and a soldier.

During the attack, troops killed
three terrorists and recovered a rifle

and ammunition from the dead rebels.

A search for other terrorists
involved in the attack was underway."

"Nigeria

On May 7, 2025, at 0035hrs, Nigerian
troops successfully repelled an ISWAP

terrorist attack on their Forward
Operating Base (FOB) at Izge, Borno State.

The troops, from the 26 Task Force
Brigade and 114 Battalion (Main),

neutralized five insurgents and recovered
several items, including a motorcycle,

bicycles, and a PKT machine gun."

"Philippines

Five members of the Bangsamoro
Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF)

surrendered to the Philippine Army
in Datu Salibo, Maguindanao del Sur.

They turned in their firearms
and explosives and renounced

their membership in the group.

The surrender was facilitated by
local officials and Moro community

elders, with the goal of encouraging
the individuals to reform."

"Russia

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU)
has detained a 44-year-old man from the

Sumy region who was spying on Ukraine's
Defense Forces for the Russian FSB.

The suspect, posing as a Ukrainian
soldier, would record military base

locations and supply routes, and
transmit the information to his

handler via encrypted messages.

The SBU thwarted the Russian intentions
and exposed the spy, who faces life

imprisonment if found guilty of
high treason under martial law."

"South Sudan

Charles Data Bullen, the Commissioner
of Morobo County in South Sudan's

Central Equatoria State, was reportedly
ambushed on Sunday, May 4, 2025,

while inspecting the Gulumbi-Kajokeji
highway in Nyori Boma, Panyume Payam.

The attack occurred when Bullen's convoy
encountered Ugandan charcoal traders

searching for missing colleagues.

Security forces successfully
repelled the attack.

The commissioner's office suspects
that members of the Sudan People's

Liberation Army in Opposition (SPLA-IO)
may have been involved in the attack."

"Syria

A civilian and mini-bus driver was
shot and killed by unidentified

gunmen in Taybat Al-Imam city,
Hama's northern countryside.

The attackers escaped after the incident,
which occurred in a mini-bus yard."

"Syria

An armed attack occurred in Azaz city,
targeting an auto trading office.

Three civilians were killed and
one sustained serious injuries.

The attackers, who were masked and
used machine guns, escaped, and

their identities remain unknown."

"Syria

In Al-Tayyanah town, eastern Deir Ezzor,
a civilian store owner was targeted

by ISIS gunmen after refusing to pay
""zakat"" (a form of Islamic charity).

The attack was carried out with
machinegun fire, but fortunately,

no casualties were reported."

"Syria

ISIS cells have carried out attacks in the
Al-Raqqa and Deir Ezzor regions of Syria.

In Al-Raqqa, ISIS cells attacked
an SDF military vehicle on a road

between Tal Samin and Ain Eissa
Town, injuring two SDF members.

Separately, in Deir Ezzor, ISIS
gunmen opened fire on a commercial

store in Al-Hawaij Town, causing
material damage, reportedly due to the

store owner's refusal to pay zakat."

"Syria

ISIS gunmen attacked a petrol station in
Al-Hawayij town, Deir Ezzor, claiming the

owner refused to pay ""zakat"" (charity).

Fortunately, no casualties
have been reported."

"Syria

Members of the Internal Security
Forces launched a security campaign in

Al-Izbah town, targeting ISIS cells in
the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

As a result, two ISIS members were
arrested and taken for investigation."

"Syria

On Tuesday, terrorists ambushed security
vehicles guarding a medical evacuation

convoy in the southern province of
Sweida, killing two Syrian security

force members and wounding four others.

According to reports, the convoy
was ambushed by ""outlawed groups

connected to the so-called Military
Council"" while returning to Sweida."

"Syria

Three Alawite brothers were shot
and killed by unidentified gunmen

while working in their agricultural
land in Tel Skeen Al-Sarout

Village, western Hama countryside."

"Syria

Unidentified gunmen carried out an
execution-style attack in Ain Al-Jouzeh

Village, Ain Al-Sharqiyah district.

Four Murshidi civilians were shot dead
at close range while working in their

agricultural fields, with no exchange
of fire or resistance reported."

"Venezuela

On Tuesday night, Secretary of State
Marco Rubio declared that the United

States had successfully rescued all
hostages held by the socialist regime

of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro
at the Argentinian Embassy in Caracas.

These five individuals were
opponents of Maduro's harsh rule.

""The administration of Argentine
President Javier Milei permitted

these five individuals to enter the
ambassador's residence in March 2024,

as authorities loyal to Venezuela's
governing party issued arrest

warrants, accusing them of inciting

"West Bank

Reports of gunfire at the Reihan Crossing
near Jenin in the northern West Bank have

resulted in two people being wounded.

The incident is under investigation,
and the IDF has launched a manhunt

for the assailant or assailants."

"Qatar

The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and
Rwandan-backed M23 rebels have restarted

peace talks in Qatar, aiming to end
the fighting in DRC's war-ravaged east.

A ceasefire agreement between the
Houthis and the US has been reached,

but officials confirm that it
will not stop attacks on Israel.

The Houthis plan to continue targeting
Israeli ships until aid is delivered to

Gaza, and will reassess their position if
the US provides future support to Israel.

The agreement does not include
Israel, according to Houthi

negotiators, and has caught Israel
by surprise, raising concerns about

the continuation of hostilities
between Israel and the Houthis."

Egypt and China have concluded 18-day
joint military exercises in Egypt,

The US military is upgrading the
Baledogle Military Airfield with new

infrastructure and security measures.

counterterrorism efforts against

On Tuesday, the Turkish navy
initiated a significant exercise

expected to last about 10 days,
covering all Turkish waters.

This operation includes 120 ships and
85 aircraft and is taking place in

the Black Sea, Marmara Sea, Aegean
Sea, and Eastern Mediterranean.

Throughout the exercise, personnel will
participate in training for diverse naval

operations, coastal unit drills, and
missions in “high-threat environments.”"

"Gaza Strip

A soldier with the Golani Brigade's
reconnaissance unit was seriously

wounded in the southern Gaza Strip
during fighting earlier today.

Two other soldiers, one from the same unit
and two from the Oketz canine unit, were

moderately wounded in the same incident.

The IDF probe suggests that the
troops were hit by an explosive device

while operating in the Rafah area."

"Gaza Strip

At least 48 people have been
killed in Israeli airstrikes on a

school and a market in Gaza City.

The strikes targeted the Karama School,
which housed displaced families, and a

nearby restaurant and market, killing
civilians, including women and children."

"Gaza Strip

Israeli strikes on two schools
in Gaza have killed at least 42

Palestinians, including a local
journalist and women and children.

The strikes targeted the
al-Karama School and another

school housing displaced people.

In addition, Israeli forces are
demolishing homes and buildings in Rafah

and have taken control of the city.

The Israeli military claims to
have targeted ""terrorists,""

but the death tolls provided
by Hamas cannot be verified."

"Lebanon

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have
confirmed carrying out an airstrike

in Sidon, Lebanon, killing a prominent
Hamas member, Khaled Ahmad Ahmad.

Ahmad was the chief of operations in
Hamas's western sector in Lebanon and

had been involved in planning attacks
against Israeli civilians and troops.

The IDF targeted him due to
his activities posing a threat

to Israel and its citizens."

"Myanmar

Fighting is ongoing in Bhamo, Kachin
State's second city, between the

Kachin Independence Army (KIA)
and the Myanmar military junta.

The junta is defending its Military
Operation Command 21 headquarters with

airstrikes, drones, and shelling, while
the KIA is struggling to overcome the

base due to a lack of food and ammunition.

The KIA has been attacking Bhamo
since December 4, and if the city

falls, the junta would gain control
of the entire area east of the

Irrawaddy River in Kachin State."

"Russia

Ukraine has targeted key defense industry
enterprises in Russia with drone attacks.

The strikes hit critical facilities
in Saransk and Tula, including a fiber

optic systems plant, which is crucial
for Russia's military communications

sector, and Instrument Design Bureau JSC,
which develops advanced weapons systems.

Additionally, SPLAV, Russia's leading
developer of multiple launch rocket

systems, was also attacked in Tula.

These strikes come as Russia reports
massive drone attacks across 11

regions, including Moscow, and
closes airports in several cities."

"South Sudan

Following last week's clashes, the
South Sudan People's Defense Forces

(SSPDF) are still pursuing the forces
of the Sudan People's Liberation

Army-in-Opposition (SPLA-IO) in Morobo
County, Central Equatoria State.

The fighting has displaced over
17,000 people, primarily women,

children, and the elderly.

The SSPDF is reportedly searching
for the SPLA-IO forces in various

areas, including Panyume and Nyori, to
restore normal security conditions."

The South Sudan army has confirmed
airstrikes on a cattle camp in the

village of Tong, Kuerylet Payam, Mayom
County, on Tuesday, which resulted in

at least six deaths and 12 injuries.

Local sources stated that the attack
had been a retaliatory action following

cattle raids in several villages within
Warrap State earlier on Tuesday."

"Sudan

Wednesday morning, paramilitary
Rapid Support Forces (RSF) conducted

a drone strike on Port Sudan
for the fourth consecutive day.

A series of explosions were heard
in the city, near the Flamingo

base, just north of the city, the
country’s largest naval base."

"Taiwan

Taiwan tracked nine Chinese
military aircraft, nine naval

vessels, and one official ship
around its country between 6 a.m.

on Tuesday and 6 a.m.

on Wednesday.

Three aircraft crossed the Taiwan
Strait median line in the country’s

northern and southwestern Air
Defense Identification Zones."

A drone attack on Kyiv has resulted in

A Russian missile strike on the
outskirts of Sumy has resulted in a

rising death toll, now at three people.

The victims include a 21-year-old

in the Dnipropetrovsk region
using drones and heavy artillery.

A high-rise apartment building in
Nikopol caught fire due to a drone

strike, but the fire was extinguished.

Additionally, the Russian army fired
guided aerial bombs at the Pokrovsk

community, wounding eight people
and damaging 12 private houses, a

gas pipeline, and a power line."

Russian airstrikes in the Kharkiv
region have caused large-scale

fires in Starovirivka and Husynka.

The fires, which affected an
outbuilding and a destroyed

building, have been extinguished.

In addition to the fires, a 16-year-old
boy was wounded and a woman sustained

injuries in the airstrikes, which
also targeted multiple settlements

in the Kupiansk district on May 6."

Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia
with 13 Shahed-type strike

drones between 21:59 and 22:25.

A private residential house
was destroyed, and three people

were rescued from the rubble.

Four injured civilians were reported,
and fires caused significant

destruction throughout the city.

The attack resulted in fires
that destroyed 10 garages and

damaged over 10 passenger cars."

Russian forces launched a significant
aerial assault on Ukraine, firing

5 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic
missiles and 187 drones from various

locations, including occupied Crimea.

Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully
shot down two ballistic missiles and 81

drones, with 64 decoy drones also lost
without causing damage or casualties.

The attacks resulted in damage
and injuries in several regions,

including Kyiv, Sumy, Zhytomyr,
Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia."

The Russian army attacked the
Huliaypilia community in the

Zaporizhzhia region with aerial bombs,

striking 628 times in 14 settlements of

Ukrainian forces claimed to have

Israel's attack on Sanaa airport
in Yemen has caused significant

damage, estimated at $500 million.

The airport's general director,
Khaled alShaief, reports that

terminal buildings, equipment, and
six planes were destroyed, including

three belonging to Yemenia Airways.

The attack may hinder medical
treatment for Yemenis seeking

care abroad and complicate the
importation of medical supplies."

"Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan is currently undergoing
a massive Distributed Denial of

Service (DDoS) attack that is
affecting online services throughout

government websites, banking systems,
and telecommunications networks.

This attack started earlier this
week and has flooded servers

with overwhelming traffic, making
essential digital infrastructure

unavailable to thousands of users.

The extent of the attack has
severely disrupted online platforms

that individuals and organizations
depend on for vital services.

Users have experienced interruptions
while trying to access online banking,

government tax portals, and public
resource management services."

"United Kingdom

West Lothian Council is
currently experiencing a

suspected ransomware cyberattack
targeting its education network.

Despite the incident, all schools will
remain open as normal this week, and

SQA examinations will not be affected.

The council is working with external
agencies to investigate the issue

and ensure minimal disruption."

"United States

The Masimo global medical technology
company, headquartered in Irvine,

California, disclosed that a cyberattack
on its systems has slowed production

at its manufacturing facilities and
temporarily impacted its ability to

process and ship customer orders.

The company believes the attack has not
affected its cloud-based hospital data

systems, and there is no evidence of
compromised employee or patient data."

"Belgium

On Sunday and Monday, the city's
mayor condemned a wave of riots in

Brussels, sparked by a football match.

Authorities reported that local rioters
hijacked a pro-Palestinian protest on

Monday to create disorder in the city.

The riots, which involved supporters of
Club Brugge, were motivated by racist

hatred and extreme right-wing ideology.

Authorities have arrested 63 people
and are working to identify the

perpetrators, with the Belgian
interior minister promising to merge

the city's police zones into a single
command to improve response times."

On Tuesday, an F/A-18F Super Hornet
fighter jet crashed into the Red Sea

after a failed landing on the USS Harry S.

Truman aircraft carrier.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, with
only minor injuries reported after the

two aviators on board ejected safely.

This is the second such incident
in eight days, following a similar

incident on April 28, where
another F/A-18E Super Hornet fell

off the ship while being towed.

An investigation is currently
underway to determine the

cause of the latest incident."

"Finland

On May 7, an F/A-18 Hornet fighter
jet crashed at the Rovaniemi

airport in northern Finland.

The pilot successfully ejected and is
undergoing further medical examination.

The crash site is cordoned off,
and rescuers are on the scene.

Fortunately, there are no reported
civilian casualties, and the cause of the

accident is currently being investigated."

An unidentified aircraft crashed
in Aklian Kalan village, Bathinda

district, killing one farm labourer,
Govind, and injuring nine others.

The incident occurred around 2 am in a
harvested wheat field, approximately 500

meters from the nearest residential area.

Authorities have cordoned off the area
and are investigating the cause of the

crash and the identity of the aircraft."

"Indonesia

A dump truck crashed into a
minibus on a downhill road in

Indonesia's Central Java province,
killing 11 kindergarten teachers.

The truck, carrying construction
materials, lost control and collided with

the minibus before crashing into a house.

The incident is one of several
road accidents in Indonesia, which

are common due to poor safety
standards and infrastructure."

"Israel

Two boats collided off the coast of Eilat,
resulting in eight people being wounded.

The incident occurred near Neviot Beach,
with two people in moderate condition

and six in light condition, according to
the Magen David Adom ambulance service."

"United States

A train derailment occurred in Avoyelles
Parish on May 7, around 6:33 a.m.

The incident involved 31-33 train
cars and prompted the closure of two

local schools due to safety concerns.

A shelter has been set up at the
Moreauville Community Center, and

multiple agencies, including the
Louisiana State Police and Canadian

Pacific's HAZMAT team, are involved
